For the first day of our mobility, we visited the museum of the Athens-pyraeus electric railways.
We had a conference on the story and the role of Piraeus from the Antiquity to WW2. We heard about the bombardement of the city by the Nazis in 1941 and by the allies in 1944 as well the resistance of the people. Then we did a WW2 walking tour in Pyraeus.
During the tour, we saw a statue of Ero P.Constantopoulou the girl who, at the age of 13, fought for the freedom of the Greek people. She died at the age of 17 after being tortured and shot 17 times, once for each year of her life. When we went back to the hotel, we had the chance to get to know the other students
